Some refer to this as a survival instinct or tactic, the ability to blend in and adapt to your environment. Most of my writings talk about a balance of ideologies, actions, and perceptions. We are stuck on this scale of life which determines the quality of our time here in this world. We see time and time again, both in history and in the present times, the importance of balance and the consequences of imbalance.

If these ideas and desires don’t conform to the norm then we are often seen as the proverbial “black sheep”. As George Orwell famously quoted “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more they will hate those who speak it” This is a consequence of the collective illusions that society conforms to. When we fail to think critically or independently, to follow without question, that is what causes these conforming collective illusions. We begin to agree with what everyone else is saying just because everyone else is saying it, regardless if we truly believe the illusion.
